The plugin converts images (JPG/PNG) into WebP in real time before they are processed by the server. This prevents endless loading times and stops multi-megabyte photos from clogging up your storage and bandwidth.
What you can do from the Control Panel:
✅ Enable/Disable the conversion with a single click.
✅ Choose whether to keep or replace the original file (for files saved to the Media Library, you can decide to delete the JPG and keep only the optimized WebP).
✅ Set the quality of the WebP conversion.
✅ Define the maximum width of the image (automatic resizing).
Key Features:
- 📧 Mail & Media: It works both for images sent as email attachments and for those saved directly to the WordPress Media Library.
- 🔄 Visual Loader: When a user uploads one or more images, a loader is displayed to explain that the conversion is in progress.
- 🖼 Single and Multiple Files: It seamlessly handles multiple concurrent uploads.
⚠️ Technical note: It works exclusively with the standard “File Upload” field. It is currently NOT compatible with the “Drag & Drop” addon.
The plugin uses system libraries (ImageMagick / GD Library) to ensure speed and maximum quality.
